Pushing Features to Project Management Tools

Agiloop lets you push features directly to your team's preferred project management tools, so the work you plan in Agiloop flows seamlessly into the systems where your team tracks delivery. You can export to Excel, Trello, Jira, and Azure DevOps.

Supported Export Destinations

Excel — Downloads a spreadsheet file with your selected features. No credentials required.
Trello — Creates cards in a Trello board using your Trello API key and token.
Jira — Creates issues in a Jira project using your Jira username and API token.
Azure DevOps (ADO) — Creates work items using a Bearer token from your Azure DevOps organization.

Setting Up Integrations in Project Settings

Before you can push to Trello, Jira, or Azure DevOps, you need to add your credentials in the project settings. Each project stores its own integration credentials, so you can connect different tools to different projects.

Trello

Open your project and navigate to Settings.
Find the Integrations section and select Trello.
Enter your Trello API Key and Trello Token.
Save your settings.

To find your Trello API key and token, visit the Trello Power-Up Admin page at trello.com/app-key while signed into your Trello account.

Jira

Open your project and navigate to Settings.
Find the Integrations section and select Jira.
Enter your Jira Username (typically your email address) and your Jira API Token.
Save your settings.

You can generate a Jira API token from your Atlassian account settings at id.atlassian.com/manage-profile/security/api-tokens.

Azure DevOps

Open your project and navigate to Settings.
Find the Integrations section and select Azure DevOps.
Enter your Bearer Token from your Azure DevOps organization.
Save your settings.

You can create a personal access token (PAT) in Azure DevOps under User Settings > Personal access tokens.

Note: Credentials are stored per project. If you use the same tool across multiple Agiloop projects, you will need to configure the integration in each project's settings separately.

Selecting Features to Push

You have two ways to choose which features to export:

Single feature — Open an individual feature and use the push option from that feature's action menu.
Multi-select (bulk push) — From the feature list, select multiple features using the multi-select controls. Once two or more features are selected, bulk action options become available, including push.

You can use status filters to narrow the feature list before selecting — for example, filtering to only "Ready" features makes it easy to export a sprint's worth of work in one step.

Pushing Your Features

Once you have selected your features and configured your integration:

Trigger the push action from the feature list or feature detail view.
Confirm the push. Agiloop will begin processing your selected features.
An push progress indicator will show you the status as each feature is sent to the destination.
When the push completes, you will see a confirmation.

For Excel exports, the file downloads directly to your device. For the other integrations, items are created in the connected tool and you can navigate there to review them.

Note: If an push to Trello, Jira, or ADO fails partway through, check that your credentials in project settings are still valid. API tokens can expire or be revoked.

What Gets Pushed

Each pushed feature includes the following data:

Feature name — The title of the feature
Description — The feature's summary description
Specification — The AI-generated functional and technical spec content
Story points — The estimate associated with the feature

This gives your downstream tools enough context for engineers and stakeholders to understand the scope and intent of each feature without needing to refer back to Agiloop.

Auto-Archive on Push

When features are successfully pushed, Agiloop can automatically archives them. This keeps your active feature list focused on work that has not yet been handed off. Archived features are not deleted — you can restore them at any time from the archive view if you need to reference or update them.

Note: Auto-archive applies to all push destinations, including Excel. If you push features for reporting purposes and want them to remain active, restore them from the archive after the push completes.

Tips for a Smooth Push

Make sure your integration credentials are configured and saved in project settings before attempting a push — you will be prompted to add them if they are missing.
Use status filtering to isolate the features you want to push before using multi-select, especially when working with large backlogs.
After pushing to Trello or Jira, check your board or project to verify all items were created as expected before closing Agiloop.
