Tracking Implementation Status and Using the Kanban Board

Agiloop gives your team a clear, shared view of where every feature stands in the development lifecycle. Whether you prefer a list view with filters or a visual Kanban board, you can move features through seven defined status stages and keep everyone aligned on progress.

The Seven Status Stages

Each feature in Agiloop moves through a pipeline of statuses that reflect its real-world state. Understanding what each stage means helps your whole team stay on the same page.

• Backlog — The feature has been captured but is not yet prioritized for active work. It sits in reserve until your team is ready to plan it.
• Ready — The feature has been scoped, reviewed, and is prepared for development. It has a specification and can be picked up at any time.
• Queued — The feature has been scheduled for an upcoming build cycle. It is waiting for an AI agent or developer to begin work.
• In Progress — Active development is underway. IMPLEMENT is actively working on the feature.
• Blocked — Work cannot continue due to an impediment. A block reason should be added so the team understands what needs to be resolved.
• Review — Development is complete and the feature is awaiting review, whether that is a code review, QA, or stakeholder sign-off.
• Done — The feature has been completed and accepted.

Using the Kanban Board

The Kanban board gives your team a visual, column-based layout of all features organized by status. It is especially useful during planning sessions or standup meetings.

Opening the Kanban View

Switch between the list view and the Kanban board using the view toggle at the top of your project's feature section. The Kanban board displays one column per status stage, with feature cards arranged within each column.

Moving Features with Drag and Drop

To update a feature's status directly on the board:

1. Click and hold a feature card.
2. Drag it horizontally to the target status column.
3. Release to drop it. The feature's status updates automatically.

This is the fastest way to move multiple features during a sprint planning or review session without opening each one individually.

Collapsing Columns

If your board feels crowded, you can collapse individual columns to hide their cards and focus on the stages that matter most right now. Click the collapse control on any column header to minimize it. The column remains visible as a narrow strip so you can expand it again at any time.

Note: Collapsing a column is a visual preference only. It does not change the status of any features inside it.

The "Requires Review" Flag

Agiloop supports a Requires Review flag, that when set, will automatically move a feature to the Review state, even if an approver token was provided in the repo settings for the project. This allows team members to review the pull request and manually approve it outside of Agiloop.
